What We Do

Below are just a few examples of how our Kiwanis club impacts the greater Castle Rock Community.

Kiwanis Key Leader

Our Kiwanis club plays a crucial role in putting on the Kiwanis Rocky Mountain District’s Key Leader program each year. Key Leader is a weekend leadership program for high school students, held each year in Estes Park, Colorado and Casper, Wyoming, where our mission is to inspire young people to achieve their personal best through service leadership. Key Leader empowers students to become more caring and confident leaders. Through team-building activities, group discussions, and personal reflection, participants discover the benefits of Service Leadership while creating their own unique leadership style.

Castle Rock Impact Kiwanis club holds a charity golf scramble with a majority of the proceeds going to support Key Leader. Thanks to the sponsors and participants in this tournament, the Castle Rock Impact Kiwanis club has donated nearly $40,000 to support high school students attending this life changing program. Key Club Sponsorship

Our Kiwanis club supports and sponsors the Key Club at Rock Canyon High School in Douglas County, Colorado. Key Club is a student-led, high school organization, whose members make the world a better place through service. Through participation in Key Club, students grow as individuals and as leaders by answering the call to lead, summoning the courage to engage and developing the heart to serve.

Annual Holiday Sweet Dream Packing Event

Each Year we help the community kick off the season of giving by inviting the community to join the Kiwanis clubs of Castle Rock for this free event, packing bedding for children in need. Sweet Dream in a Bag is a heartwarming initiative that spreads joy and comfort to children in need by providing them with new bedding packages. Imagine the smiles and excitement as these children unwrap their very own sets of colorful, soft, and snuggly bedding, transforming their sleeping spaces into havens of warmth and security. We invite the entire community to attend (children are welcome) this great event and spread joy of the holidays.
